Each kanji has a unique keyword which conveys its meaning. Use this keyword to create a story mnemonic to help you remember the kanji.

A kanji may be made up of other groups of kanji called radicals. Break the kanji into smaller parts and use the keywords and stories from these parts to help you make a story mnemonic.

Take as much time as you need to think of a memorable story. A little extra effort at first will save you time later. For more complicated kanji, try to make a story based on its meaning and not just how it looks.
